How to check Website Performance
The links below can be used to check your Website Performance. This quick post is for my students in any of my WordPress classes. Simply enter your website address and have the sites below scan your site. You will get a list of items that have a good\bad status. Some items may need to be fixed or adjusted on your site to increase Website Performance. When done with your updates you can re-scan your site and see the improvements.
Here are three very useful sites that will check site performance.
- Pingdom
https://www.pingdom.com/product/page-speed/ - GTMetrix
https://gtmetrix.com/ - Google Page Speed Insights
https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights
It is worth mentioning that you compare results of repeated scans against the same sites previous results. Comparing the scan results against the other sites may not give you the necessary trending info on the performance of your site.
I will be posting other articles on how to increase performance based on the results of these scans. Subscribe to this site for email updates.
